Hands-on (But Not Mine) With the Samsung Galaxy Tab

I got to spend a few minutes last night with the new Samsung Galaxy Tab Android tablet, but not long enough to form any real impression. But Harry McCracken of Technologizer had a longer go. Check out his impressions, which I agree with to the extent I have opinions.

I’m still trying to convince myself to get an iPad, but it’s still too heavy for my needs. I always look at it and think, “This is just a bigger iPhone for the visual impaired. Too bad it doesn’t make phone calls.”

I don’t know why people are getting so excited over all of this first generation pad technology, rounds two and three are going to be so much better.

I’m holding out for flexible oled technology that’s as light as an issue of Business Week. 😉 If it’s not possible to stuff in all the electronics (the iPod nano always gives me hope), perhaps someone will event wireless video card technology so you wear the processor on a belt clip.

Okay. Sorry. Typos. “for the visually impaired”, “invent” not “event”, and “can wear” – lol
